Trouble Shooting Your Oxygen Concentrator

The concentrator will not run after turning it on.

Check the plug at the wall outlet.  Is it plugged into a properly grounded outlet?  Does the outlet turn off at the wall?  Has it been turned off?  Try another outlet.  Check your fuses or circuit breakers.  Try to reset the unit by turning the on/off switch to the off position.  Press the reset button, usually located near the on/off switch, behind the internal filter door or on the back of the unit.  If you cannot find the reset button, call our office and ask for a service technician.  Be prepared to tell the technician the brand and model of your concentrator.  While holding the reset button down, try turning the unit on.  If it does not work, call our office for a service call.

The low oxygen alarm is sounding.

Check to see if the electrical outlet is working properly by changing outlets.  If this does not work, check for kinks in the oxygen tubing.  Check to see if the external filter is clogged.  If these steps do not correct the problem, call our office for a service call.

It feels like there isn't any flow or enough oxygen flow from the concentrator.

Place the cannula in clean water.  Does it bubble?  If so you are getting flow.  If you are having a sinus problem or a head cold, it may not feel as if you are getting as much oxygen as you normally would.  Check for kinks in the oxygen delivery tubing.  Check to see if the connections between the concentrator and the oxygen delivery tubing are tight.  Check all connections in the delivery tubing.  If you use a humidifier, change the humidifier.  If the problem is with the equipment, call our office for a service call.

Never attempt to open or service the concentrator or let anyone else service it other than our service technicians.
If for any reason, the concentrator becomes damaged in any way, contact our office immediately.
