Safety In the Bathroom

The Bathroom is one of the more dangerous rooms of the house when it comes to accidents.  Smooth, hard wet surfaces can generate the greatest threat of a disabling fall.  A non-slip tub mat, a non-slip rug, and a carefully placed grab bar can make a world of difference.   Bath transfer benches can provide a safe means of getting in and out of the tub.   Our customer service department can assist you in selecting the products which best meet your needs.

Remember to never leave towels, clothing, wash cloths or other loose items in the floor.

Often one of the greatest risk and inconveniences can be sitting and standing.  An elevated commode seat may offer just the difference you need to stand and sit safely.  Safety rails can be attached separately or as part of an elevated commode seat.

If room confinement or ambulation is a factor, a bedside commode may be the best solution.  Be certain the commode is placed in a level place and can be accessed safely.  The commodes can be elevated as well.  For patients who must use a transfer board to get on and off of the commode, a drop arm commode may provide the greatest assistance.  Our customer service department can assist you in selecting the commode safety products which best meet your needs.
